I found it quite hard to engage with this, I quite often find that with films, where the basic premise is dystopic societies and the struggle of one person/robot/lion (this is what lion king is about right) against those who control that society, that the part where we learn that the society is bloody awful goes on far too long! I’d be perfectly happy with some star wars style scrolling text explaining why it sucks then a whole film of just escaping/kicking ass. Anyway, i woke up a bit toward the end when there is some rocket car action. Although this film potentially raises all sorts of questions about the move towards an Orwellian big brother like society with a bit of social engineering thrown in, but to really get the best of it you may have to take drugs to stay awake.
