Bubba Ho-Tep

Bubba Ho-Tep is basically about growing old and overcoming the loss of dignity which goes with that. Ultimately it is the arrival of an undead soul sucking mummy which provides purpose for the two protagionists amd reminds them that they are not just waiting to die. But don’t be fooled, this is not sentimental junk, its silly, and funny, and has Elvis fighting a mummy! If the story of how Elvis comes to be in a rest home and very much alive is true or not is irrelevant, likewise his (now black) friend John F. Kennedy may well be deluding himself as to his true identity, but what matters more is not what his rest home can do for him, but what he can do for his rest home. This film will cheer you right up without ever resorting to cliche, and even when it does its only to make you laugh.
