Whoever pitched this film and got it made is a genius, that is not to say the film is genius, just whoever got someone to give money, to make a film about a post apocalypse horny guy and his telepathic relationship with a dog who sniffs out girls for him must be able to sell anything! I desparately wanted this to be a searing social commentary on modern (80s?) society, but in reality its just weird fun stuff. Its a bit slow moving in parts, there is a whole scene in a cinema (post apocalypse cinema that is) showing skin flicks which seems to have no purpose at all, aside from to show that porn remains ubiquitous even after the bomb. But some bits are pretty funny, and other bits are so weird that you will be thinking about them for ages after going “why the fuck did they do that”.
